the girl & the fig in Sonoma is currently hiring Servers to join our team.

We are a restaurant group with multiple locations in the Sonoma Valley, which includes the girl & the fig in Sonoma, Poppy in Glen Ellen, the girl & the fig CATERS!, Suite D , and our FIGfood product line. The Perfect Candidate is...
*Professional
*Knowledgeable about food and wine
*Able to provide friendly and responsible service to our guests
*Able to guide guests through our menu to create an exceptional dining experience

A Typical Day Includes
*Welcoming guests
*Giving detailed explanations to the guest of additions or changes to the menu
*Making recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
*Answering questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services
*Taking food and beverage orders from guests and entering orders in our POS system
*Assisting in delivering food and beverages from kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter
*Performing side work at the start and end of each shift as required
*Maintaining clean service areas
*Monitoring guests dining experience
*Ensuring guests are satisfied with the food and service
*Responding promptly and courteously to any requests
*Preparing final bill, presenting check to guest, accepting payment, processing credit card charges
*Assisting fellow servers as situations arise
*Assisting bus person with clearing and resetting tables
*Thanking guests for their visit and invite them to return

This Job Requires...
*Ability to provide or complete CA Food Handler Certification and renew as necessary
*Ability to provide or complete RBS Certification and renew as necessary
*General restaurant knowledge and applicable experience as a Server in a fine dining environment

Physical Demands...
*Must be able to lift 40 pounds
*Be able to lift, reach, bend and stoop
*Requires standing more than 90% of time during work shift

Job Details...
*Part-time or full-time positions available
*Hourly wage is $18.02 + gratuities
