UNDERSTANDING
Custodians are essential to sustaining our high-quality sanitation standards. Through training and development, they
are responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout all common areas of the facility. They work independently and
report any findings to the Sanitation Supervisor. Custodians must be able to work as a team, prioritize greatest needs,
and willing to perform varying tasks in accordance with all safety policies.
SCOPE
This team member aligns seamlessly with our core values, they hold no ego, are accountable for keeping themself safe
and motivating others around them to do the same. They acknowledge individual and team mistakes as well as own
them as opportunities for improvement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep all public areas, restrooms, and breakrooms of the plant sanitized.
- Clean common entryways, walkways, and outdoor areas.
- Collect and remove trash.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors throughout the facility.
- Complete documentation outlining cleaning tasks.
- Maintain strict compliance in PPE use when handling chemicals.
- Understand the use of approved chemicals for sanitation process.
- Interact with sanitation lead to prioritize specific projects and evaluate the progress of work.
- Assist in maintaining adequate stock of all related cleaning supplies.
- Comply with all company Quality, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety standards
- Respond to radio calls for additional clean up help plant wide.
- Partner with Quality Assurance on projects.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to maintain sanitary conditions for Food Safety.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English.
- Must have basic math skills (with use of a calculator)
- Must be able to read and interpret weight scale readings and tape measures.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for the duration of an 8 hour shift with applicable breaks.
EDUCATION
- Must have a High School Diploma or a G.E.D
