Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer Job Description As a Maintenance Engineer, you will utilize a range of tools, from common hand and power tools to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices. You will perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines run smoothly and building systems operate efficiently. Additionally, you will repair or replace defective equipment parts, diagnose mechanical problems, and order necessary parts and supplies. Responsibilities Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure machines and building systems operate efficiently. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. Order parts, supplies, and equipment from catalogs and suppliers or obtain them from storerooms. Install or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment. Ensure compliance with legal environmental and safety requirements. Understand and control the environmental aspects of the area. Follow all Environmental and Safety policies and comply with procedures, regulations, and instructions of environmental and safety programs. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment You will work in a non-climate controlled environment, which can get hot during summer months. The facility operates with 50 hourly employees, and dress code includes jeans, work shirt, and steel-toed boots. The shift hours are from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Allentown, Pennsylvania.
