Housekeeper 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 31 East Campus Drive, Bethany, WV 26032 General Description The Housekeeper works under the direction of the Supervisor of Housekeeping and is responsible for general cleaning, stripping and waxing floors, washing windows and other related duties. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Vacuum, sweep, dust mop and wet mop floors daily Clean and stock restrooms Strip and wax floors Wall cleaning Wash windows Clean offices, stairways, bathrooms, and entries Empty trash cans, cigarette urns and pick up litter In winter, may provide snow removal and salt the walks leading to entries Order cleaning supplies Perform other job-related duties as assigned Essential Skills Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations, the College community and the public Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously Ability to maintain assigned buildings with limited supervision in accordance with established standards for cleanliness Ability to recognize occupational hazards and take appropriate safety precautions Ability to use floor machines such as buffers and vacuums Ability to effectively document work-related tasks Ability to properly use chemicals and cleaning supplies Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position Ability to work overtime or any shift as required Required Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent Must be able to handle up to 50 pounds and operate floor scrubbing equipment Must be able to handle and use a six (6) foot ladder for window cleaning, etc. Valid driver's license Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
