Job Summary:
As a Receptionist for the Outpatient Department, you will provide administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective and efficient administrative operations. In this entry level role, you will adjust the schedules of therapists and prescribers, handle client communication, appointments, admissions, and consent forms to provide quality services to our clients. You will also assist in verifying insurances and gain experience working in a behavioral health setting with a diverse range of individuals with various mental and behavioral health challenges.
What You Will Do:
+ Greet and promptly assist visitors, clients, employees, salespersons and the public in a courteous and professional manner
+ Answer phones courteously, record messages accurately, and schedule meetings.
+ Schedule and confirm appointments for clients and prescribers, assure appointments are properly recorded and make reminder calls to clients
+ Retrieve and route faxes daily
+ Perform switchboard duties as required, forward calls to appropriate staff or department, answer questions about agency and provide callers with address, directions, and other information
+ Verify insurance, obtain consent forms from clients, and re-enroll clients to admissions.
+ Adjust for scheduling conflicts and schedule lunches.
What We Are Looking For:
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED) AND
+ 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
