**This is a seasonal position. Tips make this a very lucrative position.**
**Duties and Requirements of the Job:**
- **Keep Property Clean.**
- **Participates in the aggressive Hospitality Program as established by Garland, and our Four-diamond rating, being attentive to the guests' every need while they are with us**
- **Maximize every potential for revenue generation**
- **Know, perform, and adhere to all rules of service and local liquor laws, and to all rules and procedures of wine service**
- **Know all menu specifications and cooking procedures**
- **Know wine list and specifics of each wine**
- **Know liquor product list and standard drink recipes**
- **Complete all set-up duties on time and according to procedure**
- **Set and re-set tables in assigned areas with clean linens, silverware, glasses, salt and pepper**
- **Perform before-work and after-work side duties as assigned, keeping work area and stations neat and clean**
- **Greet all guests promptly according to Garland standards**
- **Assist manager or Supervisor seating guests, whenever required**
- **Help all guests in and out of their seats**
- **Follow all established procedures for check presentation, cash handling, credit cards, and room charges**
- **Other duties as assigned: Restaurant Manager, Restaurant/Lounge Shift Supervisor**
**Personal Skills and Characteristics Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:**
- **Follow personal appearance and grooming standards.**
- **Conduct yourself in a professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction.**
- **Good public relations skills with strong emphasis on oral communications.**
- **Comply with company policy regarding scheduling, uniform, absenteeism and tardiness.**
- **Able to teach suggestive selling techniques to increase sales**
- **Use proper phone etiquette when required**
- **Familiar with operating hours, types of operations and locations of all food and beverage outlets, and all other facilities at Garland**
**Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:**
- **Must be at least 18 years of age**
- **Must be able to stand/walk for a minimum of 12 hours per daily**
- **Must be able to lift/support and balance at least 25 lbs, repeatedly throughout the day.**
**Licensing, Education and/or Other Special Certification(s) Required:**
**1. High School Diploma and/or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)**
