About Us:
Le Chene is an intimate, upscale French restaurant located in the heart of the West Village at 76 Carmine Street. Rooted in the traditions of French hospitality and seasonality, we offer a refined yet welcoming experience for every guest. We are seeking a reliable, and guest-focused Host to join our front-of-house team.

Position Summary:
As the first point of contact, the Host sets the tone for the entire guest experience. The ideal candidate is warm, poised, and highly organized, with a natural ability to make guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive.

Schedule:

  • 5 days per week from Tuesday to Saturday

  • Hours: 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests with grace and professionalism

  • Manage reservations and walk-ins using a digital reservation system (Resy)

  • Maintain waitlist and coordinate table turns with the service team

  • Handle coat check, menu presentation, and entry area upkeep

  • Provide clear and timely communication with kitchen and floor staff

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a host or guest-facing role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Calm and efficient under pressure

  • Punctual, professional, and team-oriented

  • Familiarity with reservation platforms (e.g., Resy, OpenTable) a plus

Compensation:

  • Hourly
