About Senior Custodian: Monitors building safety conditions and performs custodial duties. May be responsible for a specified division in the absence of the supervisor. Essential Functions

• Instructs and inspects work of custodians on a specified shift.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and waxes floors.
• Dusts and cleans offices.
• Maintains inventory of supplies.
• Performs routine maintenance on janitorial equipment.
• Vacuums carpets and upholstered furniture and ashes windows, venetian blinds, walls and mirrors.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes restrooms and replenishes supplies.
• Assists in moving office and building furniture and equipment.
• Prepares rooms for meetings.
• Replaces light bulbs.
• Raises and lowers flags.
• Opens and closes building.
• Mows grass, trims hedges, and maintains grounds around County buildings.
• Removes ice and snow from sidewalks.
• May be responsible for building security.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned, including duties of custodian.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

• No formal education required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the custodial field required.
