About Senior Custodian: Monitors building safety conditions and performs custodial duties. May be responsible for a specified division in the absence of the supervisor. Essential Functions
- Instructs and inspects work of custodians on a specified shift.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and waxes floors.
- Dusts and cleans offices.
- Maintains inventory of supplies.
- Performs routine maintenance on janitorial equipment.
- Vacuums carpets and upholstered furniture and ashes windows, venetian blinds, walls and mirrors.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and deodorizes restrooms and replenishes supplies.
- Assists in moving office and building furniture and equipment.
- Prepares rooms for meetings.
- Replaces light bulbs.
- Raises and lowers flags.
- Opens and closes building.
- Mows grass, trims hedges, and maintains grounds around County buildings.
- Removes ice and snow from sidewalks.
- May be responsible for building security.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned, including duties of custodian.
- No formal education required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in the custodial field required.
