Overnight ER Registration Clerk
Location: Knoxville, TN
Schedule Options:

• Shift 1: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM (Friday – Sunday, and possibly Thursdays)
• Shift 2: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM (Every Wednesday and Thursday, rotating Saturdays and Sundays)

Pay: Competitive hourly rate with shift differentials

About the Role:
Join our emergency department team as an Overnight ER Registration Clerk and provide essential support during critical overnight hours. You will be the first point of contact for patients arriving in the ER, ensuring smooth and efficient registration while working within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

• Register and check in patients arriving during overnight shifts
• Collect and verify patient demographics, insurance, and clinical information
• Enter accurate data into electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Assist patients and visitors with inquiries and directions
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support smooth ER workflow
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education a plus
• Experience in medical registration, customer service, or related fields preferred
• Comfortable with EHR software and technology
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and maintain composure during busy overnight hours
• Willingness to work assigned shifts including weekends and rotating schedules
