Description

Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for the position of Cashier on our Dining Service team. Our Dining Service is not only a place to eat, it's a vibrant hub of community life, and our team members are a big part of what makes that possible. This position plays a key role in ensuring a warm, welcoming, and efficient dining experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
  
  
• Rotating weekends required
  
  
• Flexible start time available (e.g., earlier shift start if preferred)

Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Non-Exempt (Hourly), Benefits-Eligible

Pay Range: $15.00-15.50 per hour

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide friendly, professional service and greet all guests with enthusiasm and respect
  
  
• Accurately process meal swipes and payments using touchless POS systems
  
  
• Monitor dining areas and assist with guest questions or needs
  
  
• Train, support, and serve as a role model for student employees at the register
  
  
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and follow health and safety guidelines
  
  
• Collaborate with dining service staff to ensure smooth meal operations and guest satisfaction

Prerequisites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in food service, retail, or other face-paced customer service role, preferred
