Job Description: Busser at Marks Feed Store
Position Title : Busser
Reports To : General Manager / Assistant Manager
Position Overview:
As a Busser at Mark's Feed Store, you will play a vital role in ensuring the restaurants cleanliness, efficiency, and overall guest experience. You will assist the front-of-house team by clearing and setting tables, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and ensuring that all guests have an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Clear and clean tables after guests leave, ensuring they are promptly reset for the next group.
Maintain cleanliness in the dining room, including sweeping, mopping, and ensuring that high-traffic areas remain clean and tidy.
Assist servers with delivering food and drinks to tables when needed.
Ensure water glasses are filled, and utensils, napkins, and condiments are readily available for guests.
Restock supplies (napkins, straws, utensils, etc.) as needed throughout shifts.
Help keep the restroom and other guest areas neat and presentable.
Support the kitchen staff by keeping workstations tidy and organized.
Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in maintaining a positive atmosphere by greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly manner.
Follow health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation standards.
Qualifications:
No prior experience required (on-the-job training will be provided).
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
Job Requirements :
Ability to stand for extended periods (4-8+ hours) with periodic breaks.
Perform repetitive motions, including frequent use of hands and arms for tasks such as chopping, stirring, carrying, and operating equipment.
Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, stretching, twisting, and reaching above eye level.
Capability to walk up and down stairs and use a step ladder as needed.
Occasional sitting, talking, and active listening as required by the role.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly as part of job duties, including but not limited to food supplies, dishware, and equipment. When handling heavier loads, employees MUST use appropriate lifting equipment and/or seek assistance from a second person.
Ability to move around the kitchen quickly and efficiently.
Compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
