Reporting to the Manager, Customer Service the Customer Service Rep 1 (Call Center Specialist) will interact with customers over the phone or via email to identify needs and determine appropriate action or escalate for further review. May provide quotes, process sales orders, document customer complaints, and respond to customer service needs, including shipment, billing and warranty issues, and basic product inquiries.

This position is part of the Customer Care/Call Center department located in Wood Dale, IL and will be a hybrid role.

The standard hours are 9am-5:30pm Monday through Friday; initial training/onboarding will be held onsite from 8am - 4:30pm.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Answer incoming calls and respond to customer emails in a timely manner throughout shift.
• Process orders and quotes received via phone or email.
• Manage and resolve customer complaints.
• Recommend improvements for systems and processes to boost organizational efficiency.
• Meet or exceed individual and department metrics.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in a call center or customer support role
• Oracle and SFDC software experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook)
• Experience working in a high volume, fast paced environment handling 60 - 75 transactions daily.
• Strong active-listening and verbal communication skills; proficient in problem solving

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $26.50 - $28.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
