The Bartender provides alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to residents & their guests in a pleasant, appealing and timely manner. They may be asked to wait tables and fulfill additional tasks.

Various days and hours including evenings and weekends.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Make mixed beverages upon request to meet resident requests and desires in a timely manner
  • Stock items needed to make beverages, juices, soda, liquor, fruit and condiments
  • Complete weekly overall inventory of above items to facilitate order
  • Transport alcohol beverages from ABC Packaging to WCR to replenish stock
  • Complete daily cleaning of Canterbury Lounge area
  • Provide customer service in an uplifting and friendly manner exhibiting strong listening skills
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customer
  • Additional duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able to stand up to six hours at a time
  • Able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance, 26+ with manual or mechanical assistance
  • Frequent bending, stooping and reaching
  • Occasional use of ladder

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Knowledge of mixed alcohol drinks
  • General knowledge of other alcoholic beverages
  • Ability to recognize intoxicated person
  • Must be 21 years of age with no previous felony conviction

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Previous work experience with older adults
  • Previous experience in a customer service field

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • One year bartending experience

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency
  • Mixologist
  • Three to five years bartending experience
