Job Description
East Mills is currently seeking to add a member to our kitchen staff team. East Mills Community School District is located in Malvern IA.
Hours are 9:00am-1:30pm
Starting pay is $12.57

Qualifications:
Certification of good health signed by a licensed physician.
Previous experience in preparing meals for large numbers of people.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports to: Food Service Director
Job Goal: To provide courteous service and attractive nutritious meals to students and staff in a professional atmosphere of efficiency and cleanliness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Uses all kitchen equipment in a safe, proper and efficient manner.
Prepares food according to a planned menu and tested, uniform recipes.
Prepares silverware and trays for service.
Serves food during scheduled meal times as directed.
Daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment, lunch tables, and the washing and sterilizing of all dishes, trays, silverware, and utensils as directed.
Assists the Food Service Director in menu planning, food preparation, and inventory as directed.
Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds as part of the daily routine.
Other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
If requested, assume the duties of the Food Service Director in their absence.
Maintains pleasant, friendly attitude toward all students and staff and retains flexibility to ensure efficient completion of all food preparation and clean up tasks.
Terms of Employment: Wages, hours, and work year to be determined by the Superintendent approved annually by the Board of Education.
Evaluation: To be evaluated annually by the Food Service Director and the Superintendent.
