Food Preparation: Cooks prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring them according to recipes. They ensure that all food items are ready for cooking and presentation. Cooking: They follow recipes to cook meals, ensuring that dishes are prepared to the specifications of customers and meet quality standards. This includes grilling, frying, baking, and sauteing various food items. Presentation: Cooks are responsible for garnishing and presenting dishes attractively to enhance the dining experience. Sanitation and Safety: They maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including sanitizing work areas, utensils, and equipment. Cooks must adhere to food safety regulations to prevent contamination. Inventory Management: Cooks monitor food supplies and assist in ordering stock as needed. They ensure that ingredients are stored properly to avoid spoilage. Collaboration: They work closely with other kitchen staff, including sous chefs and wait staff, to ensure timely service and efficient kitchen operations. Problem Solving: Cooks must efficiently resolve issues with food orders and adapt to changing customer requests or dietary restrictions.
