We are seeking a Porter/Dishwasher to support the overall cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, including thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, and equipment. Responsibilities Ensure the kitchen area is clean and organized, including floors, countertops, and cooking equipment. Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize soiled dishes, utensils, and cookware. Sort and store clean dishes properly. Dispose of waste and recyclables according to established procedures. Maintain cleanliness and organization of waste disposal areas. Assist with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment and appliances. Perform additional cleaning tasks as needed, such as mopping floors, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies. Assist with general kitchen cleaning tasks to uphold hygiene and sanitation standards. Keep the dish area free of clutter and organized to facilitate smooth operations and ensure easy access to necessary items. Qualifications 1 to 2 years of porter and/or dishwasher experience in a cafe, restaurant, or food service business. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness. Basic understanding of kitchen sanitation and safety practices. Proficiency in keeping the dish area organized and free of clutter. Strong work ethic, well-organized, focused, attentive to detail with a sense of urgency.
