Job Summary Details:
The Parking Garage Attendant is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the parking facility, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a secure environment for vehicles and patrons. This role involves assisting customers with parking inquiries, processing payments, monitoring the garage, and performing light maintenance tasks. The duties shall consist of the following but not limited to: Cashiering, Customer Assistance, cleaning and maintaining ticket stock and receipt logs at all entrances/exit stations and preparing deposits and daily reports when operating a fee computer. The Attendant may also be asked to perform other incidental duties necessary to the operation including but not limited to parking, moving, and valet parking vehicles as well as maintenance duties at the discretion of Management.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
- No experience required; on-the-job training provided
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, cash handling, or a similar role is a plus.
Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Availability:
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Working Conditions:
This position primarily works in a parking garage environment, which may involve exposure to vehicle exhaust, varying temperatures, and noise. The role requires regular interaction with the public.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and provide clear directions and information regarding parking procedures, rates, and facility layout. Assist customers with any issues or questions, including lost tickets, payment difficulties, or vehicle location. Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, escalating to management when necessary.
Operations & Transactions: Operate parking access and revenue control equipment (e.g., ticket dispensers, pay stations, gates). Accurately process various forms of payment (cash, credit/debit cards, mobile payments) and provide correct change and receipts. Reconcile daily cash and credit transactions at the end of shifts, ensuring accuracy and preparing deposits. Monitor garage capacity and direct traffic flow as needed to optimize space utilization.
Security & Safety: Regularly patrol the parking garage to monitor for unauthorized vehicles, suspicious activity, or safety hazards. Report any security incidents, accidents, or maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures. Assist with emergency procedures, such as evacuations or directing emergency vehicles, when necessary.
Maintenance & Cleanliness: Perform light cleaning duties to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the parking garage, including sweeping, picking up litter, and emptying trash receptacles. Report any equipment malfunctions (e.g., broken gates, non-functioning pay stations) or facility damage.
General Duties: Maintain a professional and tidy appearance. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Complete daily logs and reports as required. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
