How you'll contribute
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and guests. Key duties include general cleaning tasks, supply management, and ensuring safety standards are met in coordination with plant operations.
- Perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, and trash removal
- Replenish toiletry and linen supplies consistently
- Inventory and order cleaning supplies and equipment
- Work with the plant operations team to maintain a safe, risk-free environment
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and hospital standards
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma, GED or combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Experience:
- Previous housekeeping in a hospital setting preferred..
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms, offices, and public areas while ensuring a safe and risk preventative environment within OSHA
regulations.
- Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the hospital.
- Report any situations that may affect health and well-being of patients or employees.
- Assure that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
- Responsible for disposal of trash, waste, and other disposable materials in accordance with OSHA.
- Report any needed repairs immediately to supervisor.
- Submit any patient personal belongings left behind to nursing supervisor.
- Follows P&Ps for terminal cleaning of a room.
- Follows instructions in use of germicidal solutions when cleaning.
- Use safety precautions in all housekeeping services.
