Opportunity: PM Houseman

Courtyard by Marriott is currently seeking a friendly individual with open availability to support the housekeeping department.

Essential Job Functions

  • To assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all hotel standards of service and hospitality
  • Perform house person and lobby attendant duties when short staffed or during peak periods.
  • Promptly and effectively deal with guest complaints and requests
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, room locations, room rates, surrounding area
  • Keep lobby and desk area clean and presentable
  • Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and security procedures
  • Answer and manage incoming phone calls
  • Stock our Market and Bistro with supplies
  • Communicate with incoming staff and management by logging pertinent information
  • Keep maintenance informed of all maintenance needs
  • Must wear proper uniform at all times
  • Be able to move luggage or packages weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Employee must have reliable transportation and able to work weekends and holidays
  • Assist housekeeping in down times
  • Perform other duties requested per management
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Operate and monitor industrial washers, dryers, and folding machines to process linens, towels, terry cloths, and cleaning rags.
  • Sort items by type, inspect for stains or damage; rewash, spot treat, discard, or send for repair as needed.

  • Fold, organize, and distribute clean linens to linen closets or housekeeping carts.

  • Maintain and clean laundry equipment (e.g., lint traps, filters), machines, room, and carts.

  • Record laundry loads and inventories; alert management to maintenance or safety issues.

Position Requirements

  • Must be able to work the PM shift
  • Previous hotel experience is preferred
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training.
  • High School diploma preferred.

  • Understand and communicate in English.

Work Environment and Context

  • Work schedule varies and includes working on holidays, weekends.
  • Required to stand for extended periods, lift up to 40 pounds
