This position contributes to Reserve Kitchen's success by maintaining facilities daily.

The Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation across all kitchen and facility areas, including dishwashing, waste removal, and restocking supplies. They play a key support role in ensuring smooth daily operations by assisting with routine maintenance and responding to the needs of chefs and kitchen staff.

Partner must model and act in accordance with Starbucks principles and company policies.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Cleans and sanitizes wares, equipment and facility
  • Organizing the dish room(s) and ensuring proper storage of all supplies
  • Collecting, washing and sanitizing dishes while returning pots, pans, cutlery and other small wares back into use as quickly as possible while adhering to sanitation guidelines
  • Washing and disinfecting kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls
  • Removing and recycling, waste and compost from the kitchen and keeping their receptacles clean
  • Performs other duties as assigned by their leader in support of the kitchen

We would love to hear from people with:

  • 1+ years working in a professional kitchen - commercial a plus (preferred)
  • Current Health Code Certification (as per State and Local DOH requirements) (preferred)
  • Understanding of kitchen sanitation standards and handling of cleaning chemicals

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs on a consistent basis
  • Ability to adhere to strict personal hygiene and standards of dress consistent with policy
  • Attention to Detail
  • Basic Math and English skills
