Purpose & Scope of The Position:
We are seeking a dependable and proactive Property Maintenance Technician to support residential property maintenance needs for the Robinson Mine employee housing in Ely and Ruth Nevada. This position is essential in maintaining a high standard of long-term and transitional housing for Robinson employees by ensuring all company housing is clean, safe, functional and comfortable.
As the Property Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a range of preventive, repair and cosmetic maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for coordinating with external vendors and contractors when specialized work is required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working with the Human Resources department, conduct regular inspections of employee housing
- Perform preventive maintenance (i.e. appliances, plumbing)
- Complete general repairs such as flooring, painting, fencing and roofing
- Maintain safe and operational living environments in compliance with company standards
- Ensure homes are ready for occupancy by verifying all appliances, applicable utilities are in working order prior to employees occupying the residence
- Replace filters and perform basic HVAC troubleshooting
- Monitor and maintain water heaters, plumbing fixtures and electrical outlets
- Identify and/or repair water leaks, furnace issues, and plumbing/draining problems
- Mow lawns, trim weeds and perform general landscaping tasks on a regular cadence or as needed
- Repair sprinklers or other landscaping features
- Removal of debris and maintaining clean grounds
- Coordinate with third-party contractors as necessary (i.e. plumbers, roofers)
- Complete assigned maintenance documentation
- Support general facilities or operational needs for the Robinson Mine as needed
- Assist with budgeting and costs tracking
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM
Required Education, Work Experience & Training:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must have customer service attitude and establish trust with residents including clean up post repairs
- Reliable maintenance equipment
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance practices for residential homes (i.e. HVAC, plumbing)
- Strong knowledge of tools and maintenance equipment
- Ability to work independently and self-manage time efficiently
- Ability to utilize computer and software (JDE) for work order management including parts ordering, work documentation, and planning
Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:
- Prior experience working with residential companies provided housing
- Prior experience with light construction
- Licensed to work as a handyman in Nevada, White Pine County

- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force constantly.
