Maintenance Mechanic
Overview:
Columbus, Ohio based Materials Science International (MSI), an ISO 9001 certified company, is a growing world class manufacturer that supports a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, and architectural and industrial glass, among others. Manufacturing is our core business and has been since we were founded in 1981. Our 30 associates work 1 shift at our two southwest Columbus facilities (combined 75,000 sq ft).
Position Summary:
This position will support MSI's Production and Machining Group. The candidate will analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and tries out equipment after repairs and changeovers. The candidate will make preventive maintenance checks and inspection of assigned equipment and report findings to the Supervisor. The candidate will work directly with a mentor on assignments and consistently follow directions based on company training needs. They will also maintain buildings to include the repair of windows, doors, flooring, stairways, racks, bins and lubricate machines and equipment as needed.
