Location: Palo Alto, CA (*Local candidate only)

Payrate: $35-42hr (Weekly pay + Medical Benefits)

Duration: Long term Ongoing contract- no end date (Based on performance)

Hours: Full- time M-F (8am-5pm - flexible if you want to start later or earlier)

They are a public American company that specializes in software platforms for big data analytics. The company facilitates machine-assisted and human-driven data analysis.

Core Responsibilities

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders related to facility, mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and components.

Provide general facilities support, including minor HVAC troubleshooting and repair.

Oversee and manage the maintenance, operation, and repair of all HVAC systems and associated equipment such as electrical distribution equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds (or connect with vendors to repair) as it pertains to assigned buildings.

Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

Manage and monitor ticketing and work order systems, utilizing CMMS technology.

Maintain relationships with vendors; schedule and support vendor's working onsite.

Support onsite events with setup, execution, and reset of all event related tasks.

Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.

Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

Must be willing and able to support any after-hours building related activity as required.

Support other tasks related to the success of mission-critical work for business.

What We Require

High school Diploma or GED

3 + years working in a corporate office either as a Facilities Maintenance or Handyman

Must have experience supporting facilities duties in a corporate office, not residential

Requires experience working very closely with vendors: managing vendors, speaking with vendors, and have knowledge of vendors in the area.

Experience with and knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment repair, and maintenance. (Example: fixing basic faucet leak, doors, etc.); Able to be hands on and can do basic office repairs.

Bonus: Experience with ticketing systems and work orders or able to learn how to complete ticket work orders.

Some knowledge of building management system - thermostat (know how to adjust and basic troubleshoot)

Requires basic computer skills - able to use MS Work and comfortable using the computer

Must have excellent communication skills: people person and enjoys communication with others and having a good working relationship with vendors.

Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. and climb up to 30 ft. ladders.

Ability to perform on-call duties and overtime as required (Only in emergencies and occasionally; 1 Saturday a month if its urgent).
