**Job Overview**

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related systems. This includes a wide range of equipment, from trucks and forklifts to belt loaders and tugs that assist aircraft on the ground. Their primary focus is on inspecting, diagnosing and repairing these machines to guarantee safe and efficient operation for drivers and operators.

**Duties**

- Engaging with customers and reviewing work orders to understand their needs and expectations.

- Carefully assessing issues and developing thoughtful work plans for effective repairs.

- Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines, interpreting the results, and providing tailored solutions.

- Inspecting essential vehicle systems such as suspensions, steering, and exhausts to ensure they are in optimal condition.

- Skillfully repairing or replacing critical parts like transmissions, brakes, and engines.

- Being available for emergency field visits, ready to address unexpected breakdowns at any time, even on weekends.

- After repairs, perform a test drive on the repaired vehicles to ensure they perform safely and efficiently.

- Performing routine maintenance tasks like oil changes and brake replacements to keep vehicles in peak condition.

- Diligently maintaining records of parts inventory and previously serviced vehicles.

**Experience**

- Proven experience in diesel engine repair, preferably in aviation.

- Background in automotive repair is advantageous.

- Proficiency in welding and equipment repair techniques is desirable.

- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
