Trailwood Industries LLC Brown House Cafe is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional service to our patrons. As a member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our guests. We are looking for team players who are passionate about hospitality, attentive to detail, and eager to deliver high-quality service.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Customer Service:** Greet guests warmly, offer prompt assistance, and provide information about menu items, daily specials, and beverage options. Address customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
- **Dining Room and Cafeteria Duties:** Assist in setting up and cleaning dining areas before, during, and after service. This includes arranging tables and chairs, setting table linens and decorations, refilling condiments and utensils, and ensuring overall cleanliness and orderliness of the dining space.
- **Bartender Assistance:** Support bartenders by preparing garnishes, restocking bar supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in bar areas. Assist in serving drinks and ensuring the bar runs smoothly and efficiently.
- **Food and Beverage Service:** Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner while ensuring correct orders and presentation. Monitor tables and attend to guest needs, such as refilling drinks and clearing plates, to enhance their dining experience.
- **Team Collaboration:** Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow attendants to ensure seamless service flow and a cohesive team environment. Participate in pre-service meetings and communicate effectively with all team members.
- **Safety and Compliance:** Adhere to health and safety standards, including food handling regulations and alcohol serving laws. Ensure all areas are compliant with company policies and industry standards.
- **Inventory and Stock Management:** Assist in monitoring inventory levels of dining and bar supplies, including glassware, utensils, and napkins. Notify management of low-stock items and help with restocking as necessary.
- **Event Support:** Provide assistance during special events, private parties, and other functions hosted by the cafe. This may include setting up event spaces, coordinating with event planners, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience.
**Qualifications:**
- Previous experience in a similar role in a restaurant, cafe, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, including an understanding of bar operations, is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be at least 18 years of age (or as required by local laws for serving alcohol).
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to handle various dining and bar tools and equipment.
