Googans Galley is a takeaway establishment looking for responsible and
experienced crew to join our team. The Breakfast/Prep Cook is
responsible for assisting with making breakfast sandwiches, food prep,
slicing/dicing and replenshing the line including side dishes and
prepared meals while adhering to a high quality of food standards to
ensure guest satisfaction. Customer service is also a required component
as we are an open kitchen. The ideal candidate for the will have some
experience in cooking, knife skills and working on a flat top. Awareness
of food portion/waste control and sanitization procedures are part of
the responsibilities of the position as well as working with others to
serve customers. Maintaining clean equipment and workspace is paramount.
This individual must have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and
conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner, as you will
be joining an excellent team of like-minded people. Primary
Responsibilities: Fulfill food prep lists as requested. Replenish stock
on the line and prepare basic needs for service. Ensure that all food
and products are consistently prepared to the appropriate standards
Assist in working with staff to execute customer orders, cleaning and
sanitizing protocols and other food prep requirements Maintain
appearance, upkeep, and cleanliness of all food and beverage facilities
and equipment Disseminate any feedback received (both positive and
negative) from guest to the ownership to continually improve upon
customer service Qualifications: Previous relevant food service
experience required Requires weekend early morning availability and
potentially some afternoon availability 2-4 days per week Passionate
about fresh food and great service Must demonstrate the ability to
multi-task and be responsive to the needs of our guests, staff and
ownership Job Type: Part time or full time if available, year-round
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate plus bonus incentive as agreed
upon Paid time off (for year-round employees) Employee discounts and
comped meals No late nights! Our cafe closes at 6pm most nights. Job
