Work Hours/Days: Mornings, 3 hours- 3 times a week, or 2 hours- 5 times a week
CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time, Non-exempt
Wage: $12.35/hr. + .50 yearly for longevity up to four years

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Library Custodian is responsible for maintaining the facilities at the Hot Springs Public Library. Primary responsibilities include providing janitorial and light maintenance services in and around the facility, with additional duties performed as assigned by the Library Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Clean, mop, and sanitize facility areas using established best practices and procedures
2.
Clean, dust, and wipe furniture. Clean surfaces in restrooms and other areas
3.
Sweep, vacuum, or mop floors
4.
Empty/clean waste basket, trash, and recycling containers
5.
Replace light bulbs/tubes as directed
6.
Refill toiletry items; restock paper products
7.
Pick up outside litter, empty canisters requiring emptying
8.
Wash interior and exterior windows
9.
Work within the specific scope of duties outlined by supervisors, if all tasks are completed before a set timeframe, custodians must clock-out at end of shift
10.
Work with supervisor to keep orderly and well-stocked inventory of all supplies needed
11.
Performs preventative maintenance in and around facilities
12.
Performs related duties as required

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the facility
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

18 years of age or older

High school diploma or equivalent
3.
Valid drivers license

Self-motivated and ability to perform well with minimal supervision
2.
Proven experience as a custodian, janitor or in a similar role
3. Knowledge of safe use
