St. James Bay Golf & Pickleball Resort 3.5 Server/Waiter Easy Apply Carrabelle, FL Easy Apply Job Overview: We are seeking friendly and customer-oriented individuals to join our team as Servers. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive dining experience for our guests. Your main responsibilities will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and providing excellent customer service. If you have a passion for the food industry and enjoy interacting with people, we would love to hear from you. Pay range from $9 to $30 is based on our servers' average of $9 per hour plus tips. Responsibilities: Greet and welcome guests at your tables within 20 seconds of seating. Present menus and provide detailed information on food and beverage options. Make suggestions from the menu to include suggestively upselling appetizers, new menu items, specials, deserts, wines, craft beers and cocktails. Study and follow management pass-out materials, including Learn Wine Pairing Tips for Beginners and Wine Pairing Chart and Server Tips on Clearing the Table. Recommend good wine pairings based on selected menu entrees. Take table food and drink orders (listening and repeating orders back to them to prevent small errors). Follow management's directions regarding checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol. Clearly relay orders to the bartender and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, appetizers, meals, and desserts. Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner while following proper serving techniques. Maintain a friendly and personable persona with each table for a memorable experience for each guest. Check on guests throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction; inquire and recommend additional beverages and desserts. Ensure an appropriate record of all guests' orders to ensure no discrepancies in billing. any guests' issues/complaints to manager to ensure appropriate resolution. Deliver checks, handle cash transactions and process payments accurately. Assist with bussing tables and resetting for the next guest. Keep the dining area clean during service and follow end of day cleaning procedures. Requirements: Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required. POS experience preferred. Strong guest/customer relations skills with the ability to provide exceptional customer service. Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change. Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of food safety guidelines and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Proven dependability regarding attendance and punctuality.
