Job Summary: Perform a variety of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled tasks related to area of assignment. Will perform a variety of maintenance, installation and regular repair duties in the general construction and maintenance of City facilities. Must have General knowledge in general maintenance or construction, and yard work or agriculture.

Requirements:

* Valid driver's license, or obtain within 30 days of hire, to operate employer vehicle and equipment.

* At least eighteen (18) years of age.

* High School diploma or GED.

* General knowledge in general maintenance or construction work.

* General knowledge in general yard work or agriculture.

Job Duties:

* Work as a member of a crew or independently performing manual labor such as digging ditches, painting, and removing debris from parks.

* Work on maintaining City facilities.

* Assist in making minor repairs to buildings and fixtures.

* Clean buildings and grounds.

* Mow and water park areas.

* Participate in all phases of ground maintenance.

* Operate and maintain automatic and hand irrigations systems. May install irrigation pipe and equipment.

* Paint equipment and buildings.

* Perform light mechanical work and repairs on equipment.

* May assist parks, streets, sewer, storm water, water, building or equipment maintenance crews.

* Perform general groups clean up including, picking up paper, trash, and trash barrels.

* All other related maintenance activities as assigned.

Hours:

* 40 hours per week, with possible weekend work.
