Opened in 2014, in the center of the Universe, Red Star Taco Bar Fremont is currently seeking a highly motivated and qualified server. We are a high-volume, fast-paced, neighborhood-loved bar that has been a Fremont mainstay for years. We pride ourselves on the delicious food we make from scratch, the tasty beverages we serve and the people we serve it to.

All applicants must have weekend and evening availability to be considered for this position. Open availability is preferred. They must have at least 2 years of experience in a high-volume setting, are at least 21 years of age, and have a current Food Handler's card and MAST permit.

We are looking for someone who:

has the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

has an upbeat, positive attitude and enjoys engaging with customers

does not need constant direction; can assess the environment and prioritize accordingly

can multi-task effectively

can uphold sanitation and food safety principles

municates effectively while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude

works as a team player

can lift, carry, push, and place objects up to 50lbs.

The FOH staff participates in tip pooling. 100% of all tips received are distributed to tip-eligible employees. The FOH staff tips out the kitchen staff according to our established tip sharing policies. The remaining tips are then distributed evenly to all bartenders and servers based on hours worked on the day those tips were received.

FOH staff can expect an average of between $20 - $35 per hour in tips, depending on business volume on each day worked.

We offer access to the Employment Assistance Program (EAP) upon hiring.

All staff receives 50% off food and beverages.

We host quarterly agave education/training.
