To provide each student with an appetizing and nutritionally balanced meal made from high quality foods in an atmosphere of cleanliness, cheerfulness and personal caring. THE HOURS ARE AS FOLLOWS: 17.5 HOURS PER WEEK. 3.5 Hours Monday-Friday 10a-1:30pm
Job Requirements
-Must have prior food service experience, preferably in a school lunch program setting.-Must be familiar with the use and care of all kitchen equipment including, steamer, meat slicer, kettles, ovens, mixers, and warmers.-Must be familiar with operating a POS cash register and able to maintain accurate account of each sale, and able to balance cash drawer at the end of the shift.-Must be able to take initiative to clean up kitchen areas, sink area, equipment, supplies, food storage areas without the need of constant reminders.-Must exhibit a positive attitude and professional manner compatible with the culture of the school as set forth by the principal even in disagreement.-Must have a proven record of working as a team player and the willingness to help others complete tasks to make sure meals are served on time.-Must be able to work quickly and accurately according to work routine. Must be able to perform physical work efficiently with long periods of standing, twisting, bending and moving about and capable of lifting up to 40 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel or crouch.-Must be able to read, write and follow directions and recipes and able to perform simple math functions.-Citizenship, residency or work visa required
