Custodian- Second Shift

Winthrop School is seeking a full-time, union, benefited, custodial position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Candidates must be able to perform all the duties associated with the custodial position, including, but not limited, to the following:Cleaning, Washing, Sanitization of entire school grounds such as bathrooms, classrooms, offices etc.Mopping, stripping and waxing of various flooring systemsVacuuming, shampooing and cleaning of rugsMoving and assembly of furniture and equipmentHandling of trash, recycling and composting Perform School grounds and building health and safety checksPerform School grounds and building security checksPerform minor maintenance including painting, repairs, changing bulbs etc.Perform minor fields and grounds maintenance as neededMust be able and available for snow removal and other events which may require over time Must be able to handle various equipment such as but limited not to the following:Floor MachinesSnow BlowerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to do this job.
