GENERAL PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Dale Robertson Center Facility Manager, the Facility Custodian is charged with the cleaning and general maintenance of the Dale Roberston Center and is responsible for all cleaning protocols and procedures. In addition to regular daytime cleaning hours, this position includes cleaning at private rentals and special events. This position requires weekday, evening, and occasional weekend work.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
16 years of age or older
Must have good interpersonal relationship skills
Must be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team
Ability and willingness to assume responsibility for work performed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Good organizational skills, outgoing, detail oriented, professional, and a self-motivator
Previous experience in exercising judgement, tact, and diplomacy in dealing with the public
Strong cleaning abilities and previous relatable experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Delivers superior customer service to all that utilize the facility while presenting a professional image and attitude
Provides for the sanitization of equipment within the facility
Responds quickly and efficiently to spills and other emergency cleanup situations
Maintains current knowledge of all emergency procedures within the designated area
Attends all scheduled shifts, trainings, and team meetings on time and prepared
Maintains a safe and clean facility environment, both indoor and outdoor, which includes vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping surfaces, picking up
trash
, and emptying trash receptacles
Event set up and break down at the facility and at other city events at other locations
May be required to help in the facility kitchen. If required, food handler training will be provided at the expense of the City of Yukon
Will be required to organize and maintain storage areas to keep items organized and accessible

PHYSICAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of the position, an employee must:
Be in good physical condition
Have the ability to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
Be able to stand and sit for extended periods
Climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms
Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate cleaning equipment
Regularly lifts, pushes, or pulls equipment over 40 pounds
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Must pass post offer drug screen and post offer background tests, if 18 or older
Must be able to work days and occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
This classification is a safety-sensitive position as defined by the United States Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing regulations and/or the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act. As a safety-sensitive classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana certification will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.
