Wage: $22.00/hour
Primary Purpose of Position
The Housekeeping Supervisor is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team who is responsible for the cleanliness and attention to detail of the hotel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all guest rooms and public areas, maintaining the hotels high standards.
Inspect rooms daily for cleanliness, proper amenities, and functionality; report any damage or issues through HotSos for Engineering follow-up.
Prepare inspection reports at the start of each shift, noting guest requests, out-of-order rooms, and special room statuses.
Communicate with the Front Desk regarding room status updates, guest requests, and any discrepancies.
Evaluate, train, and coach Housekeepers and Housemen to meet Sonnenalp and LHW service standards, providing retraining when necessary.
Support guest satisfaction by responding to requests, resolving issues, and acting as a liaison between guests and staff when needed.
Maintain organized and clean maids' closets and ensure department supplies are in proper order.
Assist in various roles as needed, including Room Attendant, Housekeeping Coordinator, or Houseman, to support departmental operations.
Answer department phones professionally, assisting with guest requests, providing information, and handling Lost & Found inquiries.
Adhere to all attendance, uniform, and timekeeping policies, setting an example for the housekeeping team.
Education/Experience
High school diploma
One or less years related experience and/or training
Housekeeping supervisory or related job experience preferred
Able to communicate effectively in primary languages such as Spanish and English, both written and verbal, preferred
- Flexible schedule, able to work mornings, nights, holidays and weekends
Special Skills/Equipment
- Duties are performed alone, but with constant interaction with other hotel employees and guests.
- Must work as a team player with housekeeping staff and other departments
- Prior experience in a lodging software system preferred.
Essential Physical Requirements
This role involves demanding physical abilities including but not limited to:
- Must be able to stand for duration of shift
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 25 lbs and have the ability to carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to kneel, bend, crawl
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals
