Overview

Join the State of Vermont's Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS) as an Institutional Custodian!

This position will be responsible for custodial and light maintenance work at the Vermont Psychiatric Care Hospital (VPCH), ensuring a clean, safe, and secure environment for patients and staff.

Duties include cleaning patient rooms, bathrooms, offices, and common areas; stripping and waxing floors; spot-cleaning carpets; operating floorcare equipment; maintaining inventory and requesting supplies; and reporting repair needs. The Custodian may also assist with training others on cleaning methods and equipment use.

This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of a background check. Work schedule to be determined.
