With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are excited to welcome a new Housekeeping Inspector with a secondary role as a Room attendant to our island-inspired resort. This role will report to: Director of Housekeeping

Requirements

YOU:

We are seeking a Housekeeping Inspector with a secondary role as a Room attendant to assist us in creating a world class environment that will enable our guests to connect with our fine establishment. The Housekeeping Inspector is a key dynamic leadership position in the resort's Rooms Division. They will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the Housekeeping Team primarily with day-to-day room inspections. You will also assist with coverage within the team as a room attendant

Qualifications :

Passionate about our guest experience

Minimum of 1 year hotel experience in housekeeping

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent time management skills that allow you to easily meet deadlines

Can easily work with minimal supervision

Ability to multi task

Excellent attention to details

Excellent problem resolution skills

Team player and self-motivated

Basic computer knowledge

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Thoroughly inspects all rooms for cleanliness & maintenance issues.

Records inspection results and changes the status of rooms that are ready after rooms have passed inspection.

Ensures proper use of inventory & supplies.

Reports any missing, damaged or maintenance in rooms immediately.

Resolves guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.

Communicates all guest issues and feedback to the leadership team to ensure appropriate actions are taken.

Coordinate's, prioritizes and assigns responsibilities to Housekeeping team/staff in the absence of a manager.

Complies with and ensures compliance with security procedures.

Assists in training Housekeeping Team/Staff as needed.

Assists with housekeeping and other duties as needed.

Knows and follows company, environmental, health, and Safety Management Programs.

Works extra shifts and hours as required. Prior approval from direct supervisor.

Assists in other departments as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
