Welcome to Freehands secondoutpost! Designed by Manhattan-based Roman and Williams, the buildingcelebrates the citys Midwestern heritage with a string of evocative communalspaces and rooms located in the restored 1927 Art Deco building, set among thehigh-rises of the downtown River North neighbourhood home to some of thecitys best art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. Featuring 217 rooms andamazing public spaces like Cafe Integral coffee and breakfast bar and the cozyBroken Shaker Bar, its a buzzing, busy space that represents the best ofFreehand. Between the busy social calendar and the ever-changing makeup ofguests and locals coming to play, its a particularly fun and fulfilling spacefor everyone in the Freehand Chicago team to work in.

NUTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Executeall guest food orders including prepping the elements needed, cooking alldishes per the recipe standard, and executing in the time allocated per recipe
• Work withthe entire Food and Beverage team to execute a positive guest experience
• Clean andput away any dirty dishes that are generated during your shift
• Workindependently during most shifts; necessary to have good time management,decision making skills to be able to prep based on operational needs, andforethought to set the next shift up for success
• Shiftsincluding AM and PM shifts; flexible availability required

WHATS IN YOUR DNA

• Must have flexible schedule
• Minimum of one-year experience in a kitchen including knife skills,organization
• Must exhibit safe health and sanitation practices
• Lifting and bending required; up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to stand for up to 8-hour shifts
• Must have prior experience including
• Must have an Illinois ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate
• Must be able to communicate basic English
• Must be detail oriented
• Basic guest service knowledge a plus
• Comfort with technology a plus
