Reporting to the Centre Director, acts as an integral member of the Inspire Early Education team to assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking in the kitchen through the conscientious application of Inspire Education standards to achieve our mission statement.
Responsibilities
- Daily Duties include heating food, portioning, dishwashing, and delivering food to the classrooms.
- Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs.
- Complies with all health regulations and the company’s best practices
- Follow proper washing and sanitizing procedures for all dishware after collection from classrooms
- Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties
- Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time depending on the needs of the daycare centers.
What you need
- 1 - 2 years of Kitchen Assistant-related experience
- High School diploma/GED equivalency required
- Current Food Handler Certification or willing to get one
- Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Require a clean criminal record check.
- Ability to push, pull and lift to 45 pounds
