SUMMARY OF DUTIES

We are seeking a versatile and motivated Line Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This role requires flexibility in rotating through various line positions, assisting with occasional catering events, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is a team player who can also work independently, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about food quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:
  • Line Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items across multiple stations (grill, saute, fry, prep, etc.) according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Prep Work: Assist with daily food preparation including chopping, marinating, portioning, and labeling.
  • Cashiering: Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle badge and card transactions accurately, and provide friendly customer service.
  • Customer Interaction: Engage with guests in a professional and courteous manner, answer questions about the menu, and accommodate special requests when possible.
  • Catering Support: Assist in the preparation, packing, and delivery/setup of catered events as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and communication.
  • Independence: Take initiative during slower periods to maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and complete prep tasks.
  • Sanitation & Safety: Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintain a clean work area, and adhere to health department regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Conversational in English
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and measurements.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Food Handlers Permit (or willingness to obtain).
