Maintenance Mechanics**
**Schedule: 4pm- 2:30am (may start earlier and may stay later depending on needs)**
**Pay: $21-22/hr + Weekly Bonus (50-70% on average) = $31.50- 35.70/hr**

**Job Description**
Join our team to maintain and repair our expansive scrap shredder machine. As a maintenance mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and longevity of our equipment. Your work will begin after the production shift ends, focusing on a wide range of maintenance tasks in an outdoor environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Mainly work outdoors in a metal recycling environment
+ Perform repairs and maintenance on a large scrap shredder machine.
+ Conduct maintenance on conveyor tracks, rollers, air systems, and gearboxes.
+ Adhere to a daily maintenance checklist.
+ Clean pipes and remove parts stuck in the shredder.
+ Operate forklifts, skid steers, and perform basic welding tasks.
+ Work outdoors year-round and manage seasonal elements.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven industrial maintenance experience, ideally in a heavy industrial or recycling setting.
+ Strong mechanical aptitude with millwright skills.
+ Proficiency in operating forklifts, skid steers, and heavy equipment.
+ Basic welding skills (MIG, stick) and fabrication abilities.
+ Physical stamina for lifting, shoveling, and working in confined spaces.
+ Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
+ Strong commitment to safety protocols.
+ Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and implement solutions.
+ Leadership experience for lead mechanics, including task assignment and ensuring safety compliance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with front-end loader, excavator, forklift, skid steer, or scrap handler in an industrial/outdoor environment.
+ Ability to work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.
+ Capability to work at heights above one-story and walk several flights of stairs.
+ Knowledge of heavy equipment operating principles.
+ Stable work history and flexibility to work off-hours, weekends, and holidays.

The work environment is outdoors, requiring resilience in both summer and winter conditions. You will be working on a large shredder machine, requiring endurance and adaptability to varying industrial conditions.
