Housekeeping Clerk - Full Time (Harrah's Joliet)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Types memos, letters, reports, and materials as assigned by supervisor and maintains departmental files.
• Receives incoming calls from guest rooms and dispatches maintenance personnel as required.
• Input and updated all work orders and inspections into the computer.
• Maintained lost and found and dispatch logs.
• Physically takes key checks and performs searches for lost keys.
• Maintains an orderly work area.
• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrahs and encourages others to do the same.
• Adheres to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.
• Responsible for weekly inventory and ordering supplies for housekeeping.

• Completes all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of hotel housekeeping and clerical experience preferred.
• Must have exceptional written/verbal communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Proficient in various computer programs, including MS Office and Outlook.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekend,s and holidays.

JOB DEMANDS :

• Lifts up to a maximum of 25 pounds and frequently lifts and/or carries objects up to 15 pounds.
• The position requires 10% standing, 80% sitting, and 10% walking.
• Must be able to maneuver around the office and effectively work at a desk.
• Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment such as a telephone, calculator, copy machine, and various printers.
• Requires some bending, pushing, twisting, kneeling, climbing, stooping, and reaching overhead.
• Must be able to work in an area containing secondary smoke.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Must be able to respond to touch/speech and aural and visual cues.

• Morning Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
