Electrical Maintenance Mechanic(Any Shift)

Responsible for effectively and efficiently installing and repairing electrical systems. Performs preventative maintenance by identifying existing and potential electrical problems within the plant; and coordinates a plan of action to correct the issue.

  1. Performs the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
  1. Reports equipment and/or electrical problems requiring repair to Maintenance/Plant Management
  1. Performs preventive maintenance on electrical issues as required and as scheduled
  1. Completes all related documentation as required
  1. Troubleshoots and analyzes different motor and circuit controls
  1. Troubleshoots, installs, removes, repairs, calibrates and tests electrical and pneumatic instruments used in Production and the Shop
  1. Works to meet current electrical codes
  1. Coordinates a plan of corrective action when necessary
  1. Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety and Plant Security requirements to ensure high product integrity
  1. Adheres to common safety practices and rules, including wearing protective equipment and clothing as required
  1. Supports the SQF program within the scope of the job function
  1. Instructs subordinates in need of your expertise

Performs other duties as assigned by plant management

Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance-related work.
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Working knowledge and experience working with 110vac 1ph 480vac 3ph power distribution
  • Knowledge and experience in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing low voltage controls and circuitry, variable frequency drives, servo drives and motors, and specialized controllers for temperature and pressure
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs and associated sensors, devices, and HMI display functions
  • Must be able to read and understand schematics, ladder logic diagrams, P & I drawings, and one-line drawings
  • Ability to troubleshoot, thru the integration of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other integrated processing equipment for effective operation and timely repair
  • Knowledge and ability to plan, size and install circuits and power, using conduit, wire way, flexible conduit, cord and related connectors, enclosures, panels, transformers, routing, and suspension devices to meet NEC code requirements
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical and related blueprints
  • Must be experienced with medium to high voltage electronics
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime during the green bean season (Approx. July-Sept)
