GUEST SERVICES COORDINATOR (LAKE CASITAS RECREATION)

Lake Casitas Recreation area has camping, boating and fishing, a seasonal water adventure park, disc golf, picnic areas, a marina cafe/park store and many more outdoor activities.
Under general supervision, this position serves as lead person for Casitas Recreation Area guest services and front gate operating system.
General Customer Service Duties
- Performs a variety of customer service duties with the public, district management and co-workers; acts as Park Host
- Participates and provides input toward hosting the park visitors to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in the Recreation Area and performs other related work as required
- Assigns campsites, collects user fees, conducts information talks and tours
- Assists visitors with compliance with park rules and regulations
- Communicates effectively for marketing, public relations and visitor services for purpose of promoting and enhancing use of park facility
- Attends to routine needs and requests of customers; answers calls and complaints; screens, and routes inquiries to the appropriate personnel by radio, telephone or written memo
- Assists with presenting programs about Casitas Recreation Area to schools and local clubs and develops brochures
General Administrative Duties
- Files and tracks weekly and monthly reports on inventories and a variety of general record keeping
- Tracks statistics on attendance, budget items and revenue items
- Works daily on computer performing cash audit reports
- Assist with hiring recommendations; trains and provides supervision to part-time staff
Educations and Experience
- Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school and at least three years of customer service experience
Knowledge of general record keeping, customer service procedures, cash handling and credit card processing procedures, maintenance of filing systems and general budget processes
Ability to understand regulations and policies governing the use of Casitas facilities; compose clear and concise correspondence; accomplish tasks independently; follow and complete work schedules for Guest Services staff; analyze situations effectively and act accordingly
