The Guest Services Associate at Foundation For The Carolinas and the Carolina Theatre is responsible for maintaining the operations of events, facilities, and box office needs. This position rotates duties with the FFTC Receptionist and Office Administrator to ensure that there is always coverage at the desks.

Your daily responsibilities include:

Office hours are MondayFriday from 9 AM 6 PM

Serves as the backup for Receptionist and Office Administrator to provide breaks and vacation coverage as needed

Work in tandem with Receptionist and Office Administrator to ensure all front desk operations are covered

Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate staff member or conference room when needed

Assist with swapping reception area to plaza side entrance when needed

Assist the Carolina Theatre box office with answering phones, routing calls, and voicemails

Provide tours of the Carolina Theatre as requested by the team

Hold weekly box office hours for ticket sales at the Theatre

Lead part-time staff and volunteers communication and scheduling

Answer Carolina Theatre general inbox emails

Monitor security cameras when needed

Assist other departments when time permits

Nightly assistance with events as needed

Requirements
  • A high level of confidence and a firm, positive, friendly voice
  • Good listening and communication skills that will ensure that all guests are handled in a courteous and professional way
  • A warm and friendly disposition that will ensure that visitors to the Foundation are appropriately greeted
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • High school graduate with at least two years secretarial education and/or experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Typing speed of 50 wpm
  • Human relations skills to deal effectively with guests/clients in person or on the phone
  • Service orientation toward internal and external clients
  • Aptitude for learning various technologies
  • Team Player
  • General ability to perform the essential functions and overall physical and mental requirements of this position, including stamina to perform tasks over extended periods and ability to occasionally move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite and/or workstation to another
