If you are passionate about education, equity, and making a difference in the lives of students, we invite you to apply. 4.00 hour per day position ~ Hourly Wage $19.57Essential Functions:--Clean equipment and storage, food preparation and serving areas for thepurpose of maintaining required sanitary conditions.--Evaluate prepared food for temperature, flavor and appearance.--Inspect food items and/or supplies for the purpose of verifying quantity,quality and specifications of orders and/or complying with mandatedhealth standards.--Inventory food and supplies for the purpose of ensuring availability of itemsrequired for meeting projected menu requirements and report shortages tothe Kitchen Manager.--Maintain records and reports (i.e. counting and recording the amount ofleftovers, equipment temp logs and other HACCP logs).--Help and assist other workers with joint tasks when other assigned tasksare completed.--Prepare food items according to standardized recipes and established foodpreparation procedures in order to meet mandated nutritional andprojected meal requirements.--Check in orders and insure all food items are received in good condition andin temperature guidelines.--Work in a kitchen with a rotating schedule so that all facets of kitchenincluding dishwashing and register duties are learned.--Willing to cover shifts, as needed, throughout the District.
