Restaurant Manager Position
The Restaurant Manager at Mercadito is a hands-on leader responsible for day-to-day operations and delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role requires a deep understanding of both front-of-house management and the financial fundamentals that keep a restaurant thriving. The Restaurant Manager ensures smooth daily service, supports staff performance, and collaborates with the kitchen team to maintain the high standards Mercadito is known for.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating a vibrant dining atmosphere, developing staff, and building lasting relationships with guests. This role demands the ability to plan engaging events, work with vendors to execute promotions, and uphold the quality and consistency our guests expect. Position Requirements
Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience
Operational Leadership: Maintain restaurant standards, oversee shifts, achieve sales goals, and coordinate with staff and vendors
Financial Knowledge: Understand and monitor P&Ls, manage budgets, control labor costs, and oversee ordering and inventory
Team Management: Train, mentor, and evaluate staff; ensure proper staffing levels; and address team concerns
Purchasing & Costing: Maintain an organized bar program, manage inventory, control waste, and ensure menu items are profitable
Health & Safety Compliance: Uphold health and safety protocols and promote a safe environment for staff and guests
Guest Relations: Engage with guests to create memorable experiences, resolve issues, and foster positive relationships both in-person and through platforms like Yelp and OpenTable
Availability: Must be able to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays; typical shifts range 69 hours on weekdays and 812 hours on weekends
Spanish proficiency preferred, but not required
Compensation: Salary ($60,000.00 - $70,000.00)
