Barista Exemption Status/Test: Non-Exempt Reports to: SN Manager Pay Grade: SN2 Dept./School: High School ______________________________________________________________________________________________ PRIMARY PURPOSE Motivated, outgoing, and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent. Special Knowledge/Skills: Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation. Exceptional listening and communication skills. Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods. Ability to lift 40 pounds A polite, engaging personality. Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence. Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment. Experience: Barista experience/food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Take orders and prepare coffee and specialty drinks adhering to all recipe standards, while also delivering exceptional customer service Be knowledgeable and enthusiastic about coffee, tea and drink preparation and products Assist with setup, cleanup, stock work and handling of food items Being held accountable for cash drawer Maintaining a clean and safe work environment Running side work/cleaning during and after shift The ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers

Supervisory Responsibilities: None MENTAL DEMANDS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: MENTAL DEMANDS: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress work; prolonged or irregular hours PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Tools/Equipment Used: Quantity food preparation and serving equipment, including but not limited to, large and small kitchen equipment and tools including mixer, sharp cutting tools, dishwasher, food and utility cart, Point of Sale Cash Register and office computer. Posture: Prolonged standing on concrete; frequent bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting Motion: Continual walking; frequent climbing (ladder), grasping/squeezing, wrist flexion/extension, reaching/overhead reaching Lifting: Frequent moderate lifting and carrying (over 30 pounds) ENVIRONMENATAL: Work inside in a commercial kitchen environment; exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures, extreme humidity, noise, vibration, microwaves, biological hazards (bacteria, mold, fungi), chemical hazards (fumes, vapors, gases), electrical hazards; work with hands in water; work around machinery with moving parts; work on slippery surfaces.
