Housekeeping

Summary

This is a full-time position where the individual will provide cleaning services for Scenic Bluffs Community Health Centers facilities; locations include but are not limited to: Cashton and Norwalk facilities.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Cleaning and maintaining facilities per the Facility Cleaning Checklist, including vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, wiping down surfaces, garbage removal and dusting.
• Report any cleaning and maintenance problems to Facilities & Projects Manager as they arise.
• Work with other facility staff to monitor all supplies related to responsibilities to assure an adequate stock is on hand at all times for all locations
• Work with other facility staff to maintain the general order of the housekeeping supply closet and assure that all cleaning supplies are requested, stored properly, have correct SDS sheets, and secured.
• Monitor garbage to assure removal is done on a regular basis.
• Communicate with patients, families, communities, other health professionals and co-workers in a responsive, respectful and responsible manner to support a team approach to the maintenance of health and the treatment of disease.
• Maintain weekly facility cleaning checklist.
• Engage others, appropriate to the specific care situation, in shared patient-centered problem solving.
• Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization in all interactions.
• Report to work as scheduled.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The individual must respect the confidentiality of patient information while performing job duties and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and public. The position includes having to meet deadlines, deal effectively with time pressures and stress. Intermediate math skills and legible handwriting is a must. Quality, accuracy, thoroughness, timeliness, and reliability of work performed are essential. The individual must have a valid driver's license, be insurable and provide own transportation. Travel to various locations is required.

Education and/or Experience

The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience preferred but not required.
