Job Description:
This is a position in the Facilities Management department. The position focuses on general maintenance and the caregiver may be assigned to work in a variety of areas of focus.

Essential Functions
Performs routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing damaged walls or floors.
Assists with the installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital equipment and systems.
Responds to emergency maintenance requests and providing immediate assistance to resolve the issue.

Benefits Eligible: Yes
Shift Details: Full-time (40 hours) Hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday 8-hour shifts. On call for afterhours is a must every fourth week or once a month for seven days, Friday to Friday.
Unit/Location: Heber Valley Hospital Facilities department
Additional Details: Daily responsibilities- Engineering department, corrective maintenance work orders, Preventative maintenance work orders, snow removal, shoveling, plowing, salting walkways, maintaining building exterior and interior to Intermountain Health standards, following all Intermountain Health guidelines, policies, and procedures. Being an engineering team member.
Qualifications
Willingness to work hard and to learn.
Some experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Experience as a maintenance generalist or handyman is required.
A valid driver license may be required for this position.
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

Bending, lifting, stooping, crawling, laying, sitting, walking, climbing.
Use of hand and power tools, proper use of hearing and eye protection.
Exposure to extreme temperatures in nature, work in noisy or constricted spaces, exposure to odors and smells.
