What you will do:

  • Assist customers and guests with orders, turning ordinary moments into extraordinary memories.
  • Be the smiling face that ensures every interaction is a personalized, delightful encounter.
  • Manning cash register and assisting customers in the café during busy breakfast and lunchtimes.

  • Perform basic math functions to collect payments and make change.

  • Operate registers, scanners, scales, and credit card/debit card terminals.

  • Memorize product locations throughout the store and be able to direct customers or make suggestions.

  • Handle exchanges and refunds in a quick, efficient manner.

  • Maintain accurate cash drawer.

  • Take a tally of the funds in the cash register when required during a shift and produce transaction reports.

  • Help with light food preparation and restock of the Grab and Go area or the register area.
  • Light table cleaning after guests.
  • Keep the checkout area clean and orderly.

  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with one-on-one customer service interaction.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Possess a friendly, outgoing demeanor, work well with customers and associates.
  • Follow guidelines concerning guest services, food and physical safety.
  • Food Handler's Certificate required.
  • ServeSafe Certification required (internal training offered)
  • Drug screen and background check required.
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift - up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to stand for the whole shift.
  • Be able to stay on your own in the Front Of The House area.
  • Experience cashier in college campus, healthcare, fast-food, restaurant, hospitality or another culinary environment or venue is preferred but not required.
